Answering Your Questions:

Do I need internet access while doing the trail?2025-06-17T23:03:57+00:00

No — an illustrated map is included with your trail sheet. We’ve also added a QR code linking to Google Maps for those who prefer modern methods of navigation not available to the original Imp Catchers.

Is the route suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs?2025-06-17T23:03:57+00:00

The trail route itself is mostly accessible, but unfortunately our shop is not wheelchair accessible due to the historic building and steep entrance. If needed, we’ll do our best to assist with the two clues based inside the shop — just let us know.

Can I do the quest without children?2025-06-17T23:03:57+00:00

Absolutely! While children will need adult support, the quest is designed to be fun for adventurers of all ages!

Can I do the trail on a different day after buying it?2025-06-17T23:03:57+00:00

Yes! Your trail pack can be collected and completed any time during our open hours. It’s self-guided, so you can begin whenever suits you.

Does my Quest Map get me entry into the Cathedral?2025-06-27T16:09:12+00:00

While the Imp Catcher’s Quest takes you around the outside of the Cathedral and explores nearby landmarks, it does not include admission to the Cathedral itself. However, you can find up-to-date information about opening times and ticket prices on the Cathedral’s website: https://lincolncathedral.com/visit-us/admission-and-opening-times

Entry is currently free for children aged 0–16 with a paying adult.

Is the trail available for delivery?2025-06-17T23:03:57+00:00

No, it’s available in store only. If you buy online, your pack will be ready for collection the next day. Or if it’s between 10:30am and 4:30pm (and not a Wednesday), feel free to come in and buy it on the spot.

Do I need to book a time slot to start the quest?2025-06-17T23:03:57+00:00

No need to book — just purchase online or in store. If you order online, your trail pack will be ready the next day. You can complete the trail at your own pace, any day you like — just make sure to start and finish during our opening hours (10:30am–4:30pm, closed Wednesdays).

What do I get at the end of the trail?2025-06-17T23:03:57+00:00

Successful questers receive a Standard Little Imp (worth £9) and a signed commemorative certificate welcoming them into The Order of Fabled Imp Catchers.
